Spread over 37,000 square metres, Al Jubail is the largest market in the Middle East and attracts thousands of shoppers every day. Built in traditional Islamic style, it houses nearly 400 stores selling fresh fish, meat, poultry, fruits, vegetables and plants.

Head here to stock up on picnic supplies, or just to browse its many stalls. The market is open daily from 6am to 11:30pm (closed during Friday prayers); twice a day, there’s a lively seafood auction selling the freshest catch.

The enticing market is found between Corniche Road and Sharjah Creek, near the landmark Central Souk.
