Sharjah Tourism Travel Quiz

Learn and be inspired to create, and allow yourself to be entertained during a fun and interactive session on the cultural traditions of the emirate

Being able to take a closer look at Sharjah’s Bedouin, Islamic and Arab culture is one of the joys of visiting the emirate. Sharjah Tourism offers a diverse range of hands-on workshops that aim to demystify the culture of the region.

Covering topics such as Islamic art, traditional crafts and archaeology, one of the most popular workshops focuses on the ancient art of calligraphy.

Led by an expert calligrapher, the workshop offers an introduction to the history, tool and techniques of this exquisite art form. Try your hand at writing and take home a truly memorable souvenir – your name written in Arabic by the tutor.

How to get there

The timings and locations for culture workshops change throughout the year. If you are interested in signing up for calligraphy workshops, the Sharjah Centre for the Art of Arabic Calligraphy & Ornamentation is located in the Heart of Sharjah.
