SCTDA coordinates with government entities concerned to ensure all requirements are met for the international event
Date Published: Tuesday, December 15, 2015 As part of the activities of the Sharjah Water Festival, organized by Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) from December 16 to 20, SCTDA is all set to host the final round of the UIM F1H2O World Championship 2015- Sharjah Grand Prix in collaboration with Sharjah International Marine Sports Club on December 17 and 18 at the Khalid Lagoon in the emirate. Sharjah has begun to receive the contestants for the F1, F4 and Aquabike world Championship grand prix final races involving the elite of the power boating teams from around the world. SCTDA has worked alongside many other departments, including Sharjah Police Headquarters and Civil Defence Department, to ensure all requirements are met, including the safety of the international drivers and their boats, to make the event a great success. SCTDA said the cooperation between various government departments in the emirate has been vital to enable Sharjah can continue host these championship to such a high standard for the 16th year in a row, providing all the logistics and technological infrastructure and traffic management during the races. The emirate expects to receive thousands of visitors from all over the world, including sport fans over the Championship week. The event will also have the presence of the representatives of the local and global media, who will offer complete coverage of the international event from a well-equipped media centre, SCTDA stated.
