Summer Camp for Children and Families

Inspire young minds this summer with hands-on art workshops in painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking at Sharjah Art Foundation.

Discover a summer of creativity at the Art Adventures: Materials and Making, a series of hands-on workshops designed for children and young people aged 6–15 years. Led by experienced artists and educators, each week explores a different artistic discipline, from painting and drawing to sculpture and printmaking, inspired by works from the Sharjah Art Foundation Collection.

Participants will experiment with a variety of materials and techniques while developing their artistic skills, creativity and self-expression in a fun and engaging environment.

Ages 6–10

6–9 July 2026: Colour Lab 

Acrylic Painting

Explore colour, composition and acrylic painting techniques through creative, hands-on activities.


13–16 July 2026: Printmaking Studio

Print and Pattern Playground with Hessa Al Raboy

Create colourful prints using leaves, plants, rollers and handmade stamps while exploring texture, patterns and layering techniques inspired by Trevor Paglen's Bloom (2020).

Mini Sculptures with Esraa Ramadan

Learn the fundamentals of clay sculpture through shaping, carving and texture-making activities inspired by Adam Henein's bronze sculptures, while creating your own three-dimensional artworks.

Observation and Creative Sketching with Iman Shaggag

Develop observational drawing skills through exercises in line, shape, shading and perspective, inspired by selected works from the Sharjah Art Foundation Collection.

6–9 July 2026: Printmaking Lab

Layers, Texture and Repetition

Experiment with printmaking techniques while exploring texture, layering and repetition through creative studio practice.


13–16 July 2026: Painting Playground

Scale, Gesture and Expression with Mohannad Orabi

Create expressive large-scale paintings inspired by Hassan Sharif's The Flying House 08 (2008) while exploring movement, colour, abstraction and contemporary painting techniques.
