26 July 2026 - A Cosmic Voyage (1936):

The last Soviet silent feature, A Cosmic Voyage was produced at a time when talkies had become a firmly established practice. This ambitious 1936 film employs elaborate special effects to envision Moscow in 1946, through the lens of Stalin-era futurism. The film's highlight is a remarkably convincing lunar expedition depicting a spaceship's journey to the moon.

9 August 2026 - 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968):

Stanley Kubrick redefined the limits of filmmaking in his 1968 masterpiece, 2001: A Space Odyssey. Guided by a mysterious alien monolith, early humans discover the use of tools—and weapons—taking their first steps towards intelligence. Millennia later, in 1999, lunar astronauts uncover a black obelisk that shifts humanity’s focus into the cosmos. In 2001, on a voyage to Jupiter, the spacecraft's intelligent computer makes a mistake that kills most of the human crew. It then continues to murder the remaining crew to hide its fatal error, leaving a sole survivor who ascends into a higher state of being.
