Partake in a Friday family tradition on warm sands

The white sand of the Al Fisht Beach is a scenic destination for walking, beach-combing and picnicking in Sharjah. The Al Fisht Park, which is right opposite the beach, has manicured grass lawn and a children’s area with colourful slides, swings and see-saws. The park is especially an attraction with parents looking for things to do with kids. On Friday afternoons, families around Sharjah and the nearby strip of low-rise villas come to picnic while their children take part in the summer activities for kids. Join the tradition by bringing your own basket of food to picnic in the sand like locals and residents.

Though swimming is strictly prohibited in the beach due to the strong currents, experienced tour operators can guide you to several areas for water sports. You can choose to go kayaking or parasailing, which are among the popular summer activities. When there are clear skies, it is also one of the popular places to visit in Sharjah at night to stargaze while listening to the sound of waves.

How to get there

Al Fisht Public Beach stretches along Al Muntazah Street, from just north of Sharjah Ladies Club to Al Rifa’ah Beach.
