The fort displays various holdings and findings, which were found through excavations in the area. Some of these artefacts date back to the eighteenth century BC, and some are even older.
The items are made of a variety of materials from ceramics to stone and some of them are marked with inscriptions, indicating important symbols from previous civilizations. Found metal items are also displayed, once used as tools in the manufacture of doors, household appliances, ship and locks.
Among the finds, there are also stone inscriptions, a rock with an inscription depicting two animals, one of which resembles a sheep and the other, a turtle, vessels made of soft stone from the Bronze Age, and a pottery shard with a drawing depicting a number of camels, along with a cup of porcelain, and a cup of chlorite stone, imported from Bactria region in Afghanistan, about 2700 BC. AD. Visitors can learn about items from the Iron Age; a stone used to grind raw copper (600-1100 BC), and from the modern era, a small imported ceramic jar (about 1900-1920).
The construction of Khor Kalba Fort dates back to approximately 1745, in the eighteenth century AD, and its total area is approximately 1435 square meters, and is characterised by its four unequal walls.
The age of the old village represented by the houses discovered under the fort extends back to about 500 years, and the construction of the fort took place in two phases, the first started in 1755 AD, while the second was in 1820.
