A traditional 19th-century pearl merchant’s house, now home to an atmospheric showcase for high-quality handicrafts of the Emirates Handcraft Centre

Surrounded by a stone and stucco wall, the beautiful Bait Al Mazroo’a features a central courtyard surrounded by a number of rooms. Now home to the Emirates Handicraft Centre, each room showcases a different time-honoured craft.

Shop for souvenirs such as date molasses and watch artisans at work making items like palm-leaf baskets. Interesting displays detail information about local architecture too.

How to get there

Emirates Handcraft Centre is located within the Heart Of Sharjah heritage district, near the West Gate and Corniche Road.
