Make a furry friend and learn about animals in the UAE

Among all the parks in Sharjah, the Children’s Farm is a family favourite. There are enclosures with camels, donkeys, Arabian horses, ponies, cows, goats and sheep, a duck pond and informative talks on each animal. The middle of the year is a popular time for the centre, with families eager to participate in the several summer activities for kids, including feeding the farm animals and enjoying pony and camel rides.

Located in Sharjah Desert Park, one of the must-visit Sharjah tourist attractions, the Children’s Farm is right next to a breeding centre for endangered animals. Tour this simulated nature reserve for insight on Sharjah wildlife. These animals, from various locations and natural reserves in the Arabian Peninsula, can be viewed in Arabia’s Wildlife Centre. Those looking to meet an Arabian oryx, the national animal of the UAE, should be sure to put this destination on their list of places to visit in Sharjah.
