Extraordinary sights and landscaped gardens
Al Noor Island is home to an architecturally stunning Butterfly House, serene Literature Pavilion and contemporary sculptures by some of the world’s most famous artists. A 3.5 km-long boardwalk snakes through landscaped gardens, while light installations bring the island to life at night.
Highlights include the tropical biosphere filled with fluttering butterflies, and the egg-shaped OVO art installation. A café serving healthy snacks, a huge children’s playground with slides, swings and climbing frames make this a perfect family destination.
In January, Al Noor Island hosts the International Storytelling Festival, a celebration of tales, fables and myths told in both Arabic and English.
