Kalba is a beautiful coastal destination on the east coast of Sharjah, hosting a number of landmark attractions. The area is highly regarded for its natural landscape and environmental biodiversity. The Khor Kalba Mangrove Centre is one of the most recent ecotourism projects in Kalba, reflecting the area’s rich ecological terrain. Due to its unique location in the middle of an ancient stand of mangroves, visitors taking the outdoor tour have an opportunity to see the oldest mangrove forest in the Emirates, with trees up to 8 meters tall.

Inside the centre, visitors enjoy watching many beach birds such as the rare Arabian Collared Kingfisher, in addition to elements of the marine environment such as crabs, green turtles, and many fish and microorganisms.

The centre is open all days of the week except for Mondays.
