Set in the manicured grounds of Sharjah’s university district, this centre houses a rich collection of centuries-old maps, manuscripts and books

Located at the entrance of University City, the Dr. Sultan Al-Qasimi Centre for Gulf Studies is an institution providing comprehensive geographical and historical information about the heritage of the Arabian Gulf. A number of the exhibits are part of the Ruler of Sharjah’s private collection, including maps and the very first images of the region.

The Archive Library holds a collection of rare publications of historical reference, covering the history of the Arabian Peninsula. Researchers here have access to over one and a half million historical documents and records.
